Gasthof Pfaffensteffel

Guesthouse with Tradition

About 300 years ago, monks from the monasteries of Tegernsee
and Benediktbeuern liked to come for spiritual exchanges to the
valley of the river Isar. They gathered at a local inn – the Steffelwirt.
This is how this local inn and restaurant became a well known local
brand name.
Today there are no more monks, but there are many other
traditions still in place – like to raise the maypole in front of the
house. Or every Sunday after church the locals gather to their
regulars table (Stammtisch) to chat and to enjoy. As we are
dedicated to hospitality both locals, passing cyclists and non
locals feel instantaneously comfortable.
